The future of airline – and travel websites

This concept video created by FI shows what the future airline website could look like. While the content is not radically different to what many travel and airline websites already offer, the user interface and user experience is a welcome, smart approach. That is, it’s visually driven, intuitive, and does a great job of cross selling related travel experiences instead of just flights.
Many airline websites still lack a design that is seamless and enjoyable for users. More than this though is that most airline and travel websites lack a critical aspect to their web presence – a mobile experience across both smartphones and tablets. When combined with the right design and content, the future airline or travel website is one that balances inspiring people to travel and selling flights and travel packages – and does this regardless of the user’s location or device.
